Process basics

How long should a pre-screening round for this role take?

Fifteen minutes across eight to ten questions, answered async. Enough to establish installed projects, test their foundation and cable knowledge, and check risk and consent experience.

Does fixed or floating experience matter?

Yes, they are different disciplines. Floating requires mooring, dynamic cables and motion analysis that fixed-bottom work never touches, so check which one your projects need.

What is the strongest signal when screening this role?

A lost weather window or a delayed campaign. Engineers with offshore experience have one and can explain the design or planning decision behind it. Anyone without has stayed onshore.

How do I judge their risk thinking?

Ask what they assumed about seabed conditions. Real answers describe surveys, uncertainty and contingency for finding something unexpected. Anyone treating the seabed as known has not installed.
