Ability for candidates to blur their background
Employers may be unconsciously biased towards untidy/non-aesthetically pleasing backgrounds. It could also impact the confidence of the applicant. I'd recommend you change this.

I second this! I exclusively recruit freelance virtual assistants in the Philippines and most don’t have a designated office space for video.
Current workaround is to recommend they have a quiet and clutter free space for the interview but the bias is there if they can’t.
