Most mobile applicants quit at the login screen.
No-login mobile screening collapses the candidate flow into three steps. Tap a link, record in the browser, submit. A webhook fires into your ATS. The screening volume you were losing at the password prompt finishes.
The gap between “View Job”and “First Answer” is where your pipeline dies.
Most teams blame the ATS for poor mobile completion. The reality: it is the layers built around it, login gates, verification loops, desktop forms forced onto a phone, that bleed candidates before any value gets created.
Candidate lands on your careers page
From a job board, LinkedIn post, or SMS. Intent is high.
Account creation appears
“Create an account to continue.” A wall, before they have answered a single question.
Email verification loop
Switch to inbox app. Find the email. Tap the link. Switch back. Hope the session held.
Desktop form on a phone
Twelve fields, two dropdowns, a file upload, a CAPTCHA. By now, the motivated candidate is gone.
The funnel math
One link in. Structured answers out. Your ATS stays where it is.
No-login screening replaces the broken “first touch” with a frictionless one. Everything downstream, sourcing, collaboration, compliance, keeps working exactly as it does today.
Tap, record, done.
- See your role on a job board, LinkedIn, careers page, or SMS
- Tap one link, straight to the questions. No account. No password.
- Answer five focused questions in video, audio, text, or file upload
- Re-record before submission. The submitted take is what your team sees.
- Most candidates finish on their first sitting, on their phone, in a single session.
Configure once. Review async.
- Build your question set per role in minutes. Copy from a template if you want.
- Generate one application URL, or candidate-specific links
- Drop it into any channel: job board, LinkedIn, careers page, SMS campaign
- Responses and metadata sync to your ATS via webhook, attached to the right record
- Review in batches when it suits you. No screening-call calendar Tetris.
You do not need a new ATS. You need to fix the first step.
Every invitation link encodes the candidate, the role, and the source. A signed, timestamped webhook fires on submission. Your ATS sees a candidate, tied to a role, with screening responses attached. Nothing looks unusual, except your completion rate.
Connects to the ATS you already pay for.
Native integration, Zapier, or signed webhook. Every event is timestamped and traceable. Every record reconstructable from your audit log.
If you live on speed and shortlist quality, this is the unfair advantage.
Agency consultants do not have an extra ten hours a week. No-login screening turns a five-day phone-screen cycle into a two-day async review, without adding headcount or rebuilding workflows for every client.
Faster shortlists, same team
Review candidates across roles in batches. Replace days of phone screens with an afternoon of async review.
White-label or co-branded
Brand the candidate experience as yours or your client’s. Same underlying engine, your logo on the front.
Repeatable role packs
Build a tested five-question screen for SDRs, support reps, or hourly hires. Reuse it across clients.
Differentiated candidate experience
A few minutes on a phone, no account. A pitch point your clients will notice and your competition cannot match.
Six steps to a no-login screen for one role.
Do not migrate your whole hiring stack. Pick one high-volume role, run this once, compare the numbers in week one.
Define five essential questions
Intro, role scenario, motivation, logistics, one wildcard. If it will not change a hiring decision, drop it.
Choose response formats
Video for intros. Audio for scenarios. Text for logistics. File upload for proof. One format per question.
Brand the candidate page
Logo, colors, optional 30-second intro video. Candidates who watch it complete at higher rates.
Distribute the link
One application URL. Embed it on the careers page, LinkedIn posts, SMS campaigns. Per-client links for agencies.
Wire up the ATS
Native integration or webhook. Map the fields. Test with one internal “candidate” before going live.
Take the screen yourself
On your phone. If anything feels slow or confusing, it will be worse for candidates. Fix, then launch.
The objections you will hear in the next meeting.
Do we need accounts to track candidates properly?
No. Tracking happens via the invitation token, not the candidate’s credentials. Every interaction with the link, clicks, views, recordings, is logged and tied back to the candidate record in your ATS.
Is this compliant with GDPR and other data regulations?
Yes. Right-to-access and right-to-erasure still apply. Records can be purged on request, and the deletion event is logged. A DPA is available on request.
Will candidates take it seriously if there is no login?
Yes. Higher completion rates show that serious candidates are more likely to finish when the process respects their time. Removing the login screen does not lower the bar. It removes a barrier the bar was never supposed to be.
What if a candidate’s phone dies mid-recording?
They tap the same link again. The token resumes the flow exactly where they left off. No lost progress, no support ticket.
What about anti-fraud and verification?
Video and audio responses are harder to fake than typed-form applications. Add optional identity questions, location capture, or device metadata in the same flow if your role requires it.
