8 Jobma Alternatives, Ranked by Published Price

Published on By Sanat Hegde26 min read
Bar chart of yearly cost at published prices: Hirevire $468, Truffle $588, Willo Lite $708, Hireflix $900, Interviewer.AI $1,990, Spark Hire $2,988, VidCruiter from $5,000 as listed on Capterra, and Jobma quote only.

The lowest-priced Jobma alternative is Hirevire at $468 a year, with a 7-day free trial and no credit card. That pays for one open job and 300 recorded interviews a year, which is about 25 candidates a month. Jobma publishes no price at all: its pricing page asks for your country and hiring volume, and sales sends a custom annual quote. A team that wants live and recorded interviews, an applicant tracking system (ATS) and unlimited users at a published price should look at Spark Hire, from $2,988 a year. Six of the eight tools here publish a price, and those six are ranked by price, lowest first.

How this list was built: these are eight interview tools a Jobma customer could move to. Prices come from each vendor's pricing page and ratings from G2, both checked in October 2026.

Research: Jobma customers on G2 report an average of 2 months to implement it and 10 months to see a return on it.

What is Jobma, and what does it cost today?

Jobma is interview and assessment software for mid-size and large employers. It was founded in 2012 and is based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. It sells one platform that covers most of the early hiring steps: one-way video interviews, live and panel interviews, an AI interviewer that asks its own follow-up questions, skill tests, coding tests, interview scheduling and candidate fraud checks.

The fraud checks are where Jobma has moved furthest in 2026. Before an interview, it can check a candidate's government ID against a selfie. During the interview, it flags a second face, a change of voice, switching windows, copying and pasting, and phone use, and marks each flag on the recording.

Jobma does not publish a price. Its pricing page is a form, and the answer to "How much does a Jobma subscription cost?" on that page is that packages are built around your volume, integrations and features. G2 lists three editions, Growth, Professional and Enterprise, all priced on request and billed yearly. Neither G2 nor Capterra lists a starting price.

A quote buys a yearly plan sized to your hiring. Jobma's G2 listing puts unlimited interviews, unlimited users, Zapier, an API and single sign-on in the top Enterprise edition, so those are things to ask about when you compare quotes.

Why do teams look for a Jobma alternative?

Teams look for a Jobma alternative for four reasons.

  1. You cannot see a price before a sales call. A small team that wants to compare tools has to fill in a form and wait for a quote.
  2. It is sold by the year. A 2022 Capterra reviewer only needed video interviews for three or four months and found an annual plan too much.
  3. Setup takes weeks. G2 reviewers report an average of 2 months to implement Jobma, and Jobma says on its pricing page that it assigns a team to set it up for you.
  4. It has grown into a platform for large employers. Reviewers from 2018 to 2020 on Capterra describe Jobma as cheap and pay as you go. Today its site leads with mid-size and enterprise hiring, fraud prevention and 70+ HR integrations. A team with two roles open uses a small part of that.

What do Jobma users complain about?

Jobma is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 169 reviews on G2 and 4.6 out of 5 from 41 reviews on Capterra. Most reviewers are happy, and its support team gets the most praise. Seven complaints come up in written reviews.

  1. Invites that never reach candidates. An HR director at a US education company wrote in January 2025 that invites often land in junk or spam folders, so links expire unopened. A 2020 reviewer said links never got to candidates and most did not complete the interview.
  2. A learning curve at the start. A 2023 reviewer at a large logistics company says anyone new to the team needs a training session first. Reviewers in 2022 call setup "a little confusing" and "a little hard", and a 2020 reviewer found the portal tricky to set up.
  3. A slow or clunky interface. Two 2020 reviewers, rating it 1 and 2 stars, call it clunky, and one says it is slow to load and slow to update. A 2022 reviewer says the user interface could use work.
  4. Paying for more than you need. A 2022 reviewer wanted a monthly plan for a 3 to 4 month hiring push. A 2020 reviewer disliked buying credits in advance in bulk.
  5. The candidate app. A 2022 reviewer wishes candidates did not have to download the app. A 2020 reviewer says the apps need improvement. Jobma says today that candidates can use a browser or its apps.
  6. Gaps in connections. A January 2025 reviewer needed a custom connection built for Rippling, and says Jobma lacks a few features of their previous HR system.
  7. Candidates who struggle on camera. A 2026 G2 reviewer says candidates can feel awkward or intimidated by the video format, and a 2019 reviewer could not get candidates to re-answer a question.

Because Jobma lists no price, the saving depends on your quote. Hold your Jobma quote against the Hirevire plan that fits your volume.

Your Jobma quote for a yearSaved with Hirevire Essentials ($468)Saved with Hirevire Professional ($1,188)Saved with Hirevire Agency ($2,388)
$3,000$2,532 (84%)$1,812 (60%)$612 (20%)

$10,000$9,532 (95%)$8,812 (88%)$7,612 (76%)

The same sum works for any tool in the first table. Spark Hire's $2,988 annual plan, for example, saves $2,012 (40%) against a $5,000 quote.

Truffle is cheaper than Hirevire for each interview at the small end. Truffle Starter's 200 credits cover about 40 video interviews a month for $49, against Hirevire Essentials' 25 a month for $39. Hirevire's lowest plan costs less in total, and Truffle gives more interviews for the money.

1. Hirevire

Hirevire is async screening software: you write the questions once, and candidates record video, audio or text answers in their own time. They answer in the browser with no account or password. A question set takes minutes to build, and you can record an intro video so candidates see who they are talking to.

Every plan includes AI transcripts in 90+ languages and AI scorecards that show the reasoning behind each score, so a reviewer can see why one answer scored higher than another. Candidates who miss a must-have requirement can be filtered out before they record. You can ask a follow-up question after watching an answer, without booking a call. Screen recording and file upload questions let a developer walk you through their code or send a sample.

Invites and reminders go out by email and SMS on every plan, and the Professional and Agency plans send email from your own mail server. On the Agency plan, Deep Search finds a candidate by anything they said, across transcripts, resumes, notes and files, and webhooks send each response to any system you run.

2. Truffle

Truffle screens resumes, runs talent assessments and collects recorded interview answers, then gives each candidate an AI match score, a summary and what it calls Candidate Shorts. You pay with credits: a resume costs 1 credit, an assessed candidate 2 and a video interview 5. All three of its talent assessments are included.

It is the closest priced match for Jobma's mix of tests and interviews in one step. Every plan has unlimited positions and team members, and a 7-day free trial with 30 credits and no card. Starter is billed monthly only and stops at its credit limit, so there is no surprise bill. On Core, unused credits roll over for 12 months.

Watch out forInterviews use 5 credits each, so a month heavy on interviews uses the pool quickly. Its tests are talent assessments, so a team hiring developers should check whether they cover code

3. Willo

Willo is a one-way interview tool where candidates answer with video, audio, text or file uploads. You pay for each live role each month, with no contract, so a role that is open for two months costs $118. That suits the reviewer who only needed interviews for a few months.

Lite covers up to 5 live roles and 5 users, with 150 assessed candidates per role, custom scorecards, anti-cheat checks and 18+ languages. ID checks and right-to-work checks are add-ons. Enterprise starts at $3,799 a year and adds connections to Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, Greenhouse and iCIMS, which a Jobma customer may already use.

4. Hireflix

Hireflix does one thing: one-way video interviews. You build the interview once and invite as many candidates as you want, by email, SMS or WhatsApp, and it tracks whether each email was opened. Candidates need no app and no registration.

Every plan has unlimited positions, users and responses. It connects to Greenhouse, Lever, BambooHR, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Teamtailor, Recruitee and JazzHR, and to other apps through Zapier and Make. It is SOC 2 compliant and offers single sign-on and audit logs, which matter to a team leaving Jobma for security reasons.

5. Interviewer.AI

Interviewer.AI runs one-way video interviews and has an AI score every answer for how well it addresses the question. The Professional plan adds interview fraud checks and a conversational AI avatar that asks follow-up questions. That makes it the closest priced match for Jobma's AI interviewer and fraud checks.

You buy interview credits. A recorded video interview uses one credit, a conversation with the AI avatar uses two, and unused credits roll over.

It is the closest match to Jobma's range at a published price: unlimited one-way and live interviews, unlimited jobs and unlimited users on the video plan, with reference checks and self-service scheduling in the Recruit ATS.

Its AI scores recorded answers against a rubric and flags candidate fraud.

It is the closest match to Jobma for a large employer, and it is also priced by quote. Capterra lists a starting price of $5,000 a year. Read the VidCruiter alternatives guide for its full pricing picture.

How do you switch from Jobma to Hirevire?

Switching takes four steps.

  1. Check when your Jobma contract renews, and copy your interview kits: the questions, think times, retake limits and rating guides. Download the interviews and scorecards you must keep before the contract ends.
  2. Create the same job in Hirevire and add those questions. A question set takes minutes to build, and each question can ask for video, audio, text, a file or a screen recording, with its own thinking time and retake setting. Write your rating guide into the AI scorecard criteria so every answer is scored against the same standard.
  3. Share the new link with candidates. They record in the browser, with no account and no password. For a list of people already in your pipeline, upload a CSV and Hirevire sends the invites by email and SMS, with automatic reminders.
  4. Connect the tools you already use. Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect, Ashby, Tellent Recruitee and Manatal work on every plan, so a candidate who passes the screen can be booked in your calendar tool and updated in your ATS or HR system.

A team that runs Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS or another large ATS can send screened candidates to it through webhooks on the Agency plan, or through Zapier and Make where the ATS has a connector.

Applicants from Indeed, Naukri, Monster, Shine.com, foundit and ZipRecruiter get your video interview invite when you add your Hirevire link to the posting or forward their application email. For a question about your own setup, write to [email protected].

What should you check before leaving Jobma?

Check five things before you move.

  1. Which parts of Jobma you use. A team that only runs one-way interviews can move to any tool here. A team that also runs live panels, coding tests and the AI interviewer in Jobma should compare Spark Hire, Interviewer.AI and VidCruiter, or keep Jobma for those steps and add a screening tool.
  2. Whether you rely on fraud checks. Jobma checks IDs and flags tab switching and extra faces. Willo offers anti-cheat checks with ID checks as an add-on, Interviewer.AI Professional has fraud checks, and VidCruiter has video proctoring.
  3. How many candidates you screen each month. Hirevire covers 25, 100 or 1,000 interviews a month depending on the plan. Hireflix and Spark Hire's annual plan are unlimited.
  4. Whether you need live video calls. Jobma, Spark Hire and VidCruiter run live interviews in the same tool. Hirevire connects to your calendar and video call tools through Zapier and Make.
  5. Which systems must stay connected. Jobma lists 70+ HR platforms, including Workday, Oracle, iCIMS, Greenhouse and BambooHR. List the ones you use, then check each alternative's plan for them.

When is Jobma still the right choice?

Jobma is still the right choice in four cases.

  • You hire at volume and worry about candidate fraud, and want ID checks, liveness checks and proctoring flags on every recording.
  • You want one-way, live and panel interviews, skill tests, coding tests and an AI interviewer from one vendor.
  • Your ATS is Workday, Oracle, iCIMS or another enterprise system, and you want a connector the vendor supports.
  • You want 24/7 human support by chat, phone and email for both your team and your candidates.

Should you stay with Jobma, switch, or pick another tool?
