How language is determined
The language displayed to candidates follows this priority order:
URL parameter: If the application link includes
?lang=ES, the page displays in that language.Browser locale: If no URL parameter is set, the page attempts to detect the candidate's preferred language from their browser settings.
Job default language: If browser locale detection doesn't match a supported language, the page uses the default language configured for the job.
English fallback: If none of the above apply, the page defaults to English.
Setting the default language for a job
Each job can have its own default language. To set it:
Go to Jobs in your dashboard.
Click on the job you want to configure.
Click Set language near the share link section.
Select your preferred language from the dropdown.
Candidate language switching
Candidates can switch languages at any time using the language picker in the bottom right corner of the application page. The picker shows the current language and opens a list of all available options when clicked.
Language settings translate the application page interface (buttons, labels, system messages). Your custom questions, instructions, and email templates are not automatically translated — enter those manually in your target language.
