How to Request a Trial Extension
Updated 11 months ago
Need more time to evaluate Hirevire? You can request an extension to your trial period by contacting our support team through the trial expired screen or chat support.
How to Request a Trial Extension
Hirevire offers two methods to request a trial extension, depending on whether your trial is active or has already expired.
Method 1: After Your Trial Expires (Recommended)
When your Enterprise trial ends, Hirevire automatically displays a dedicated screen to help you request more time.
Access the Trial Expired page After your trial ends, you'll be automatically redirected to the Trial Expired screen when you log in to Hirevire.
Click "Contact us" On the Trial Expired screen, you'll see the message: "Need more time to explore Hirevire?" followed by a "Contact us" button.
Send your request Clicking "Contact us" opens the chat widget and automatically sends this message: "Hi, I would like to extend my trial."
Wait for confirmation Our support team will review your request and respond, typically within a few hours. Most extension requests are approved.
The Trial Expired screen provides the fastest way to request an extension because it automatically pre-fills your extension request message in chat.
Method 2: During Your Active Trial
If your trial is still active but you know you'll need more time, you can proactively request an extension.
Open chat support Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of your Hirevire dashboard, then select "Chat Support" from the dropdown menu.
Request your extension Type a message requesting a trial extension. Include how much additional time you need and why you need it.
Receive confirmation Our support team will process your request and confirm the new trial end date.
You can also email [email protected] to request a trial extension at any time.
What to Include in Your Request
To help our team process your extension quickly, provide these details:
How much time you need: Extensions typically range from 1-7 days, though longer periods may be granted
Reason for the extension: Briefly explain why you need more time
Your use case: What you're testing or evaluating
Example Extension Requests
Here are examples of effective extension requests based on real customer interactions:
"I need 5 more days because my team wasn't able to use the tool this week"
"I got 2 candidates to record answers, but I didn't get to share it with my team for them to see if it works. Can I have one more week?"
"I need 2 additional days to complete one more candidate test before making a decision"
"I accidentally started my trial before I was ready to evaluate. Can I have 7 more days?"
When Extensions Are Typically Granted
Our support team regularly approves trial extension requests for legitimate evaluation needs, including:
You need additional time to complete thorough testing
Your team wasn't able to fully evaluate the platform during the initial trial
You're waiting to test with specific candidates
You need to share results with decision-makers before purchasing
You started your trial before you were ready
Based on support history, most trial extension requests are approved, with extensions ranging from a few days to several weeks depending on your needs.
What Happens After Your Request
Once you submit your extension request:
Fast processing: Extensions are typically processed within a few hours during business hours
Direct confirmation: Our support team will confirm your new trial end date via chat or email
Immediate access: Your extended trial begins immediately after approval
Full feature access: Extended trials include all features available during your original trial period
Understanding Trial Limitations
Trial extensions may not be available if you've already received multiple extensions or if you've already subscribed to a paid plan.
Second or third extension requests may require additional justification, as our team evaluates each request based on your account activity and evaluation progress.
Alternative Options
If a trial extension isn't available or doesn't provide enough time, consider these alternatives:
60-Day Money Back Guarantee: Subscribe to any plan and request a full refund within 60 days if Hirevire doesn't meet your needs
Custom evaluation periods: Contact our team at [email protected] to discuss extended evaluation arrangements for enterprise accounts

Important Notes for Account Owners
Only organization owners can see upgrade options and billing controls in the dashboard. If you're not the account owner and need a trial extension, contact your organization owner or reach out to support directly.
During your trial, account owners will see a banner at the top of the dashboard showing how many days remain (for example: "7 days left in your free trial"). This banner includes an "Upgrade now" link for owners who want to subscribe before the trial ends.
