Overview

Pause your Hirevire subscription for 1-3 months if you're not actively hiring. Your billing stops during the pause period, and all your data stays safe—jobs, templates, career pages, and candidate responses are preserved and ready when you resume.

Pausing is ideal for sporadic hiring needs. Your subscription automatically resumes at the end of your selected pause period.

How to Pause Your Subscription

Step 1: Click your profile icon in the dashboard, then select "My account".

Step 2: Click the "Billing" tab to view your subscription details.

Step 3: Click the red "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: In the "Before You Go..." modal, click the blue "Pause Subscription" button instead of canceling.

Step 5: Select your pause duration:

  • 1 month

  • 2 months

  • 3 months

The modal will show you when your subscription will automatically resume.

Step 6: Click "Continue" to confirm. You'll see a success message confirming your subscription is paused.

What Happens During a Pause

Billing: Your subscription charges stop immediately and resume automatically on your selected resume date.

Data retention: All jobs, templates, career pages, and text responses remain intact. Videos are retained according to your plan's storage limits:

  • One Job & Startup plans: 30 days

  • Growth plan: 90 days

Videos older than your plan's storage limit may be deleted during the pause period. Consider purchasing extended storage add-ons if you need to preserve older videos.

Access: You retain full access to view and manage your existing data during the pause period.

Resuming Your Subscription

Your subscription automatically resumes on the date shown when you paused. Billing restarts, and you can create new jobs and accept applications immediately.

If you need to resume earlier than scheduled, click "Manage subscription" in your Billing tab to access your Stripe customer portal, or contact support for assistance.

Not sure if pausing is right for you? Consider the flexibility of Hirevire's monthly billing or downgrading to a smaller plan instead.

Who Can Pause Subscriptions

Only organization owners with active paid subscriptions can pause. This feature is not available for:

  • Free trial accounts

  • Expired subscriptions

  • Team members (non-owners)
