Connect Hirevire to Workable

Send Workable candidates your Hirevire interview with an automated action, then add a link to their answers to the Workable candidate as a comment with Zapier. We don't have a native Workable integration, so this setup uses Workable's automated actions and Hirevire's public Zapier app.

Before you start

  • Workable admin access to Settings, Templates and Automated Actions.

  • A Zapier account.

  • A Hirevire job with the questions you want to ask.

An automated action emails every candidate you move into your screening stage. Use this when all candidates at that stage should get the same job link.

  1. In Hirevire, open the job and click Copy the link in the Share this link with candidates section.

  2. In Workable, go to Settings, then Templates, and create a message template that includes the Hirevire link.

  3. Go to Settings, then Automated Actions, and add an action of type Message template.

  4. Pick the job, your screening stage, the template and the sender, then save.

Or send personal invites with Zapier

A Zap can send each candidate their own Hirevire invite instead of the shared job link, so you can see in Hirevire who was invited and who hasn't started.

  1. In Zapier, start a Zap with the Workable trigger Updated Candidate Stage.

  2. Add a Filter step that lets through only candidates who reach your screening stage.

  3. Add the Hirevire action Invite a Candidate, pick the Hirevire job and map the candidate's name and email.

  4. Turn the Zap on.

Add the answers to Workable with Zapier

This Zap runs each time a candidate submits on Hirevire and comments on the matching Workable candidate.

  1. In Zapier, start a Zap with the Hirevire trigger New Application and connect your Hirevire account.

  2. Add the Hirevire action Create a Shareable Application Link.

  3. Add the Workable search Find Candidate and look up the candidate by their email address.

  4. Add the Workable action Add Comment Candidate and put the shareable link in the comment.

  5. Turn the Zap on.

The shareable link opens the candidate's answers without a Hirevire login, so anyone on your Workable team can watch the videos.

Troubleshooting

A candidate didn't get the Workable email

Automated actions run only when a candidate moves into the stage from another stage. Candidates uploaded straight into the screening stage don't get the email, and Workable never sends the same automated email to a candidate twice. Send those candidates the link by hand.

The Zap can't find the candidate in Workable

Zapier matches on email address. If the candidate used a different email in Hirevire than the one in Workable, the search finds nobody. Add the comment by hand.
